Sacha Baron Cohens neuer Film „Der Diktator", den wie schon bei „Borat" und „Brüno" der Regisseur Larry Charles in Szene gesetzt hat, soll eine beißende Satire auf die Weltpolitik, das Demokratieverständnis des Westens und eine Parodie auf Diktatoren wie Gaddafi, Mubarak oder Kim Jong-il sein. Doch leider bleibt der Film zahnlos. Bei „Brüno" konnten wir bereits erleben, wie der Guerilla-Komiker so langsam im Mainstream vor Anker geht. Nun ist „Der Diktator" ein klassischer Hollywood-Film mit Handlung geworden, der bis auf ein paar Geschmacklosigkeiten für die breite Masse taugt. Wie konnte das passieren? Die Themen, die Cohen in seinem neuen Film anfaßt, sind im Grunde hochpolitisch und werden doch nur als bunte Revue präsentiert. Es zeigt sich, daß gerade die Ironie und das Karnevaleske für eine Polit-Satire leerlaufen können. Florian Illies schreibt in seinem ironischen Buch „Generation Golf" selbstkritisch: „Und bevor die Empörung kommen könnte, haben wir immer noch die weiten Arme der Ironie. Wenn man alles in Gänsefüßchen denkt, ist alles akzeptabel." Das ist die Krux an diesem Film, es stellt sich beim Zuschauer keine Empörung mehr ein und damit auch keine Komik. Abgesehen von den paar Gags aus dem Trailer langweilt dieser gerade mal 80minütige, nur mit Mühe zusammengeschusterte Streifen fürchterlich. Daß Stars wie Sir Ben Kingsley, Megan Fox und Anna Faris hier mitspielen, zeigt auch, wie sehr Hollywood das Enfant terrible Sacha Baron Cohen schon vereinnahmt hat <b>...</b>
