"Tonight's The Night!" from "Room Enough For Two - The Life of Dorothy Parker"
"Tonight's The Night!" is the first song in the Original Musical Play titled "Room Enough For Two - The Life of Dorothy Parker" portraying the life of Dorothy Parker, the pre-eminent female humorist of the 20th Century. Written and performed (at the Groundlings theater in Hollywood) by Terrie Frankel - Music by Terrie Frankel, Lyrics by Terrie Frankel and Jennie Frankel ©2012. Dorothy Parker, this opening song sets up the entire play. Tonight's the Night! in 1967 when Dorothy Parker returned to her apartment at the Hotel Volney, and passes away, after attending a party given in her honor by Gloria Vanderbilt and Wyatt Cooper (her companion was Gloria Steinem). Dorothy must review her life and complete the auto-biography she was working on at the time of her death, so that she may find a suitable ending to her life and move on to the 'other side' in peace.
