The song was written in December 2011 by Dean Fields and Lori McKenna in her basement in Stoughton, Massachusetts. The full band studio version will be included on Dean's upcoming album "As the Crow Flies." Singer songwriter Dean Fields has written, recorded, and toured since 2002 performing over 1000 shows. He has released 4 albums to date of his brand of "americana folk rock music for folks who dig that sort of thing." Most recently the EP "Under A Searchlight Moon" featuring his wife dressed as a horse on teh cover, the full band effort "Everything Just Happened the Way That It Happened," the solo acoustic effort "Songs On the Mend," and his 2002 debut album "Imitations." Lori McKenna is an amazing singer-songwriter herself and a huge musical influence on Dean Fields. Lori has had cuts recorded by Faith Hill (Stealing Kisses, If You Ask, Fireflies,), Sara Evans (Bible Song), Keith Urban (The Luxury of Knowing), Tim McGraw (I'm Workin), Alison Krauss (My Love Follows You Where You Go), Jimmy Wayne (True Believer) and Pop singer Mandy Moore (Most Of Me, Latest Mistake, Can't You Just Adore Her?) and more. (Rare hard to find movie, only available in VHS Tape-Used) Review from Amazon: The year is 1937, and twenty-one-year-old Roxie, an isolated and lonely farm wife, will succumb to the charms of a drifter. The choices she makes that summer will change everything. This film is based on the breathtaking little novel "Here to Get My Baby Out of Jail" by Louise Shivers. While the film has none of the brilliance of the book, the beauty of Ms. Shiver's prose does creep into the script every now and then. The farm scenes with the old house, barns and animals are so real you can practically smell the place, and the mysterious qualities of Roxie's upbringing add a surrealness. Singer, appropriately stiff in her roll, is complimented well by the perfection of the wonderful Clu Gulager, who plays her father and the equally wonderful, and rather slim, Kathy Bates as her stepmother. Anthony Edwards seems plucked right out of the novel's pages. One of the best touches in the film is the narrator, done by the beautiful Dorothy McGuire. Her rich comforting voice, which quotes directly from the novel, draws you instantly into Roxie's world and will make you want to run out and buy the book, now in its third printing. Make sure you listen to the last song that plays during the credits. No one but Kim Carnes could do justice to the song "The Heart Must Have a Home." The raspiness of her voice successfully marries the two clear themes of this story, adultery and devastation. www.amazon.com

American singer Lori Lieberman (60) gained fame with the song Killing Me Softly, which is based on a poem she wrote during a Don McLean concert. A couple of months ago she visited one of the singer's shows, at the invitation of his wife Patricia. McLean addressed her from the stage and told the audience about the coming about of Killing Me Softly, forty years earlier. "I can't tell you what this meant to me", says Lieberman.
